Orders & Shipping

Do you offer both Ready-to-Ship and Made-to-Order items?

Yes! Our shop carries both Ready-to-Ship and Made-to-Order products.

  • Ready-to-Ship items are processed within 1–2 business days.

  • Made-to-Order items are created especially for you. Processing times vary by product and are displayed on each product page at the time of purchase. Most Made-to-Order items are completed within 3–7 business days before shipping. Please note that 60% of our items are MTO.

  • What is Global Saver Shipping?

    Global Saver Shipping items ship directly from our manufacturing partners overseas, allowing us to pass meaningful savings on to you while maintaining the same premium quality. In this case items take 3-5 days for processing and 10 - 15 days to ship. 

Why do some items take longer to ship?

Many of our products are individually crafted after your order is placed rather than mass-produced. This allows us to offer a wider selection of original designs while reducing unnecessary waste. Processing times for Made-to-Order items are shown on each listing before checkout.

Will everything in my order arrive together?

Not always. Some products are produced or fulfilled by different manufacturing partners, so your order may arrive in multiple shipments. If this happens, you'll receive separate tracking information for each package when available.

How can I track my order?

Once your order ships, you'll receive an email containing your tracking information. Please allow carriers time to scan and update tracking after shipment.

Returns & Exchanges

Do you accept returns?

Because our Made-to-Order products are created specifically for each customer, we generally cannot accept returns or cancellations once production has begun. (Europe exception applies) . Please see full terms here 

What if my item arrives damaged or incorrect?

We stand behind our products. If your order arrives with a manufacturing defect, printing issue, or you receive the wrong item, please contact us within 14 days of delivery and include clear photographs of the issue.

Once reviewed, we'll gladly provide a replacement or exchange at no additional cost.

Can I cancel or change my order?

If production has not yet begun, we'll do our best to accommodate changes. Please contact us as soon as possible after placing your order.

Products

Will the colors match exactly?

We work hard to accurately represent every product. However, colors may appear slightly different depending on your monitor, phone screen, lighting conditions, and printing process.

Are your designs original?

Yes. Haus of Kongossa specializes in original artwork inspired by African history, symbolism, fashion, language, and contemporary culture. Many of our designs reinterpret traditional motifs into modern wearable art.

What materials do you use?

Materials vary by product and are listed on each product page. We encourage customers to review the product description and sizing information before purchasing.

How do I choose the correct size?

Each apparel listing includes a size chart. Since sizing may vary between manufacturers, we recommend comparing the measurements provided with a favorite garment you already own.

What is Haus of Kongossa?

Haus of Kongossa is a Modern Afropolitan fashion & lifestyle brand created to spread joy fiercely through artful design. We are also an independent design studio celebrating African-inspired art, fashion, and storytelling through thoughtfully designed apparel, accessories, and home goods. Our collections blend heritage, symbolism, humor, and contemporary design into pieces that spark conversation.

Where does the name "Haus of Kongossa" come from?

"Kongossa" is a Cameroonian Pidgin English (Kamtok) word referring to gossip, lively conversation, or "the word on the street." Our brand embraces storytelling, culture, and conversation through art and design.

Are your designs authentic African textiles?

Many of our products feature artwork inspired by traditional African textiles and motifs such as Toghu, Ndop, Mudcloth, Ankara, and other cultural influences. Unless specifically stated, our printed fabrics are artistic interpretations rather than handwoven or hand-dyed traditional textiles.

Care Instructions

How should I care for my apparel?

To help preserve your garment:

  • Wash inside out in cold water.

  • Use mild detergent.

  • Avoid bleach.

  • Tumble dry low or hang dry when possible.

  • Do not iron directly over printed areas.

Specific care instructions may vary by product.
